When you start a pay-as-you-go session, a preauthorization hold is placed on your payment method to ensure funds are available for your reading. This is a temporary pending charge, not an actual posted charge, so the money has not left your account. These holds typically drop off automatically within 5 business days. If you see a pending preauthorization, there is no need to worry—it will be released and reflects only the authorization, not a final charge.
